History and Background

Avenues Early Learning Children’s House was established in 2003 with the intent of providing unique and specialized childcare education. We have successfully grown to a family of 16 Early Childhood Centres in the Greater Brisbane Metropolitan Area (providing 9,725 places across Brisbane for children in the age group of 6wks to 6years of age) all in support of the Early Years Learning Framework, Queensland Kindergarden Framework, the National Quality Framework, Reggio Emilia Philosophy and our present offering which supports and embraces the Montessori Philosophy and teachings of Maria Montessori.

The physical building has a long history and association with the provision of educational care. In 1953 the building was owned and operated by the Endeavour Foundation. The original house that was owned and operated by the Foundations early care facilities was located next door. We have established a relationship with the Endeavour Foundation to reinforce this historical link given that much of the Endeavour Foundation philosophy was heavily influenced by the Montessori Philosophy and Method and we believe we are continuing this journey by providing educational care that follows Dr.Maria Montessori Approach to educational care
